Ballet de Vignes, is French for 'dance of the vines.' It is a blend of 96% Westover Ione-Westover Estate Chardonnay, barrel aged 8 months in 3 year old (neutral) Oak, and 4% Muscat from vineyards in Madera. The wine is very aromatic, soft, delicate and dry, yet it exhibits a lively fruitiness. Hints of apple, citrus, peach and vanilla with slight minerality play on the palate. Delightful for sipping on the patio during the warm days of Indian Summer. Will pair well with light cream sauces, shellfish (great for crab season!) and traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Well suited to milder cheeses - our favorite pairing is Ginger's Goat Cheese with Preserved Lemon and Honey (available in the tasting room)
