2003 Westover Cabernet Sauvignon, Thatcher Bay Vineyard Ripe black cherries and dark currants highlight this Cab. Fruity without being jammy or overly rich, this smooth version of our Kalthoff Cab is approachable to all drinkers. This vintage is known for its subtle pepper and smooth, never dry finish. 2007 Westover Cabernet Sauvignon, Pleasanton Ridge Vineyard A more traditional Cabernet that combines rich plum with medium tannins and a hint of pepper. This fruit-forward wine is well-balanced between tannins and smoothness. Pairs well with red meats, full-bodied sauces and rich vegetarian fare. 2008 Westover Cabernet Sauvignon, Pleasanton Ridge Vineyard Rich, smooth Cab with medium tannins, complex fruit and a clean finish. Ripe black cherries and subtle raisin highlight a smooth texture with subtle pepper and never a dry finish. An easily approachable red that pairs well with beef, venison and southern Italian cuisine. 2010 Westover Cabernet Sauvignon (Lot 2), Pleasanton Ridge Vineyard This vintage drinks very good now and is set up to grow in complexity and age quite nicely. The strong point is the great nose. Black currant, blackberry, spice and fruit abound. Substantial tannins and medium body make this a very approachable wine. The heavy tannins equate to a wine with great aging potential.
